Cardi B continues to ride the wave of her chart topping single ‘Bodak Yellow’. Recently receiving a remix from Kodak Black who many say is credited for the flow that influenced the record, more accolades are coming her way. In September, Bodak Yellow topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts which knocked out Taylor Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do”. Not an easy task but the Bronx native achieved it. This was the first time in 20 years since Lauryn Hill topped the charts for two weeks.
Now on her third week, Cardi B’s ‘Bodak Yellow’ has capped at the #1 spot, holding a new record for a female rapper. Round of applause is in order. With ‘Bodak Yellow’ earning Cardi 3 BET awards she has aligned her with some stiff competition at this years BET Awards.
With a debut album on the way and highly anticipated, things can only look up for Cardi B, but her next move will be heavily critiqued. Her list of features are picking up as she’s on G-Eazy’s banger and bless Juicy J with a verse as well.
