Skyy Clark, a 2022 commit is the next in the long line of Kentucky guards under John Calipari. Clark has committed to play for Kentucky with chatter of him possibly reclassifying into the class of 2021. Clark is Kentucky’s first 2022 commit and just the third top 15 recruit in the class to choose a school.
Monitoring Clark’s decision on which class to ultimately graduate from will be an interesting one. Kentucky only has one commitment in the class of 2021, a four-star point guard who most would assume Clark would beat out for minutes. He ended up choosing the Wildcats over UCLA, Memphis, and North Carolina.

In Clark, the Wildcats are getting a willing and capable defender something Calipari loves in his point guards. He’s got great size and has improved his jumper in recent times allowing him to score comfortably from all three levels. He’s looking to score first but has shown the ability to create for others. He’s more combo guard than lead guard but most college point guards nowadays enter with that combo guard label. Clark should be a great addition to Big Blue Nation when he reaches campus, his strength and skill should set him up for success in his freshman season.
