Saweetie has been a topic of conversation on social media throughout the last few weeks. Her boyfriend, Quavo, let fans in on the back-and-forth that led to their relationship. Then, she turned her attention toward the unrest happening in Nigeria. Earlier this week, she hosted an open discussion regarding police brutality with rising Nigerian artist Omah Lay. Now, she’s turning her attention back towards music with a new single.
After weeks of teasing the record, the California native released “Back To The Streets” with Jhené Aiko. The duo float across the upbeat, entertaining Timbaland production. Bouncing back and forth, the two artists rap emphatically about what it’s like them for to break men’s hearts from coast to coast.
“I put my new man?on a leash/Traded in my old n*gga, he was just a lease/I ride around town ’til I leave/I gave the boy a round spin him back to the streets,” Saweetie raps.
“Back to the streets, sent you back to your old hood/On hood, baby this is for your own good/I’m a player a*s b*tch and you knew it/Had a good time, now I’m ready for some new d*ck,” Aiko answers.
Saweetie is back again and she does not miss with “Back To The Streets.” Check out the new single below.
