Los Angeles Rams Wide Receiver Demarcus Robinson was reportedly the subject of an armed robbery near a Los Angeles hotel on Friday, October 20. According to TMZ, two unidentified assailants “pointed firearms at him … and demanded he hand over his valuables — which included a pricey watch.” In total, Robinson reportedly lost approximately $100,000 of his property. Los Angeles police officers are investigating the matter, but it doesn’t appear that any suspects have been publicly identified or taken into custody.
Robinson is an eight-year NFL veteran who has played for the Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs. In 119 games, he has caught 193 passes for 2,137 yards and 16 touchdowns. His contributions aided the Chiefs in their pursuit of two AFC Championships and a Super Bowl. This season, the 29-year-old receiver has been active in five games for the Rams, but he has not recorded a reception.
Robinson is reportedly “doing OK despite the circumstances.” It is unclear if he will suit up for the Rams this Sunday as they prepare to play the Pittsburgh Steelers at SoFi Stadium.
