MTV has announced that the sixteenth season of Wild N’ Out will debut on August 10. Nick Cannon will return as the show’s longtime host after briefly leaving the network last summer. The longtime television host was accused of sharing “hateful speech and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories” during an episode of his podcast, Cannon’s Class. Behind the scenes, Cannon and executives at MTV reconciled and decided to rekindle their business relationship.
The latest season of Wild N’ Out will come with a few changes. Instead of naming each team after a color, comedians will be split into the following teams: Team Evolution and Team Revolution. Cannon will lead Team Revolution while a guest host will lead Team Evolution. However, the guest host will not appear in person. Instead, the guest host will appear via hologram. Throughout each episode, the team will compete in several games before going toe-to-toe in the wildstyle round. After a winner is determined, each episode will end with an exclusive Wild ‘N Out: In The Dark Performance. Past performers include Rick Ross, Freddie Gibbs and Fat Joe.
