It also greenlighted two new series, MTV2’s Joking Off and Number 2 News.
The network is also bringing talk-show’s to the table, with a new pilot titled Uncommon Sense With Charlamagne, which will be hosted by Guy Code’s/The Breakfast Club’s Charlamagne tha God.
Speaking on the shows, Chris McCarthy, general manger of MTV2, mtvU and Logo TV said this:
“With Wild N’ Out and Guy Code we created a home where comedians could break through and define the voice of MTV2.
Now with MTV2’s Joking Off and Number 2 News, we’re cultivating new playgrounds to discover rising talent- and build on the networks historic ratings!”
MTV2’s Joking Off is a series that joins social media and improv comedy. Featuring up-and-coming comedians, the half-hour game show highlights the best of social media and the Internet, and teams must avoid getting “joked off” before one comedian outlasts the rest.
Number 2 News is a comedic take on the news, turning Internet news into funny headlines.
MTV2’s talk-show, pilot, Uncommon Sense With Charlamagne, curates the “loudest” social media topics of the week. Hosted by Charlamagne tha God, the pilot will feature a panel of comedians and social media-inspired packages.
