But Kingsley has disappeared, leaving his children and his wife, Joy (the love of Duke’s life), to pick up the pieces. Working with a cartel desperate to control London’s drug market, Duke begins a high-risk game to infiltrate Kingsley’s empire and destroy it from within. And when Kingsley returns, Duke will take his revenge.”
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is preparing to bring his next project to the small screen at Starz — Fightland. Starring Howard Charles and Nicholas Pinnock, the series merges the streets, the sweet science, and big business for a compelling story about family, revenge, and power (no pun intended). Fightland follows Howard Charles’s Duke Kilroy loses everything, including his brother, the heavyweight title, and eight years of his life to the carceral system, he returns home to London. There, he seeks revenge against the man he believes set him up — Pinnock’s Kingsley Marshall.
Fightland is the latest project led by Jackson. As he closes out the final season of Raising Kanan, he’s turning his sights toward not only Fightland, but also Power: Origins. Starring Mekai Curtis, Spence Moore II and Charlie Mann, the latest Power spinoff takes a look at the early years of Jamie St. Patrick and Tommy Eagan’s friendship and entry into the business. In addition to Power: Origins, Jackson’s reported slate of developing projects also includes a series inspired by the film, Paid In Full, and Bone Parish, inspired by the graphic novel series of the same name.
