Over the last few years, DDG has made the transition from YouTube star to becoming one of the fastest rising artists in music. Raised by an engineer, the Michigan native has always had a passion for music. Things really started taking off in 2018 when “Arguments” earned a gold plaque. Since then, he’s shared tracks with Blueface, 42 Dugg, Queen Naija, Blac Youngsta, G Herbo and YBN Nahmir. Now, he’s stepping into his own with a joint album called Die For Respect.
“I think in the next few years I’m going to be one of the biggest musical artists out,” he told HipHopDX.
“In the next two years, I feel like I can really take off. I just know how to adapt. I’m an adapter. If it doesn’t work, I know when to get out of it before it gets bad.”
Working alongside OG Parker, DDG takes his sound to new heights. Along the way, he connects with NBA Youngboy, Tyla Yaweh, PNB Rock and Lil’ Yachty.
The rollout for Die For Respect doesn’t end tonight. He has visuals with Lil’ Yachty on the way and he’s set to star in an upcoming edition of YouTube’s Released series. Oh yeah, he’s also set to participate in a celebrity boxing match in June. Before the time comes for him to get in the ring, check out Die For Respect below.
