If an artist’s first album is successful, it can change their life. For Cordae, the previous sentence has proved to be more than true. After his debut album, The Lost Boy, dropped, he built a beautiful relationship with tennis champion Naomi Osaka, toured the world, earned his first Grammy nomination and launched his own record label. Now, he’s back to do it all again and more with his sophomore album.
Much like the lead up to his debut album, anticipation has been built slowly. Over the last year, he’s delivered “Gifted” with Roddy Ricch and a new EP. However, things have really picked up over the last three months following the release of “Super” and “Sinister” with Lil’ Wayne. He also debuted a melodic track on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. As anyone would hope, anticipation for his sophomore album, From A Bird’s Eye View, has hit its peak this week.
From A Bird’s Eye View comes with the aforementioned singles, “Super” and “Sinister” with Lil’ Wayne. It also includes appearances from Stevie Wonder, Nas and Eminem. Also, Freddie Gibbs, Gunna and Lil’ Durk are featured throughout. If Cordae delivers anything like his recent L.A. Leakers freestyle, he’s more than ready to take the next step in his career.
