Cordae first stepped foot on The Tonight Show alongside Anderson .Paak during the rollout of his debut album, The Lost Boy. Since that performance, he’s earned a pair of Grammy nominations, launched a record label and toured the world. Now, he’s back to celebrate the upcoming release of his sophomore album, From A Bird’s Eye View.
To kick off the performance, he performed his newest single, “Sinister” featuring Lil’ Wayne. Not long thereafter, he dipped into a unreleased track called “Chronicle” that is expected to be on his sophomore LP. Unlike “Sinister” with Lil’ Wayne, “Chronicle” highlights Cordae’s vocal ability that he has teased here and there. Over a guitar heavy backing, he sings about love, lust and humility.
“I’m on this road and I’m not sure where my heart is headed. If you left me now, I’ll far regret it,” he sings.
“Chronicle” is one of the many highly-anticipated tracks to come from this album. Cordae has also teased new music with Eminem, Lil’ Durk, Stevie Wonder, Nas, Freddie Gibbs and Gunna. Not to mention, Hit-Boy and Boi-1da have productions credits on From A Bird’s Eye View.
