In his grand return, Jimmy Fallon shared a bit of startling news. The Tonight Show host told his audience that had tested positive for COVID-19 during the holiday break.
“On the first day of our holiday break, I tested positive for [COVID-19]. I was vaccinated and [I received a COVID-19 booster shot], which made me lucky enough to only have mild symptoms,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Thank you to the doctors and nurses who work so hard around the clock to get everyone [vaccinated]. Thank you, NBC, for taking the testing protocols so seriously and doing a great job. And also thanks for putting me in the ‘What ‘chu talkin’ about Willis?’ isolation room when they told me the news.”
Despite Fallon’s COVID-19 status, the show will run as it normally does. The first episode of the year aired on January 3 with special guests Anthony Anderson, Adam Devine and Carly Peace.
