The substance in question is ipamorelin, characterized as a steroid under league rules. Chandler has since claimed his use of the substance was part of a subscribed treatment plan.

Chandler signed with the Brooklyn Nets in a move that was overshadowed by the superstar signings of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant for Brooklyn during the offseason. Chandler began last season with the Philadelphia 76ers, finding himself on the Los Angeles Clippers following the trade which featured Tobias Harris moving to the Sixers.
