Having been a consultant for the Creative Artists Agency, Wesley’s hiring by the Knicks brings onboard someone with many high profile connections within the league to their front office.
The move to hire Wesley is the latest in a tumultuous year for the Knicks in which they continue to reshape their front office. In the past months, the Knicks have parted ways with former team president Steve Mills, replacing him with Leon Rose, another figure previously associated with the Creative Artists Agency.
The new-look Knicks front office that James Dolan is continuing to assemble will look to move the team in a new direction following myriad disappointments. In the past year, the Knicks have finished the season out of playoff contention with a record of 21-45, which follows an offseason where their high-profile targets, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, snubbed them in favor of the Brooklyn Nets.
