Kayla Harrison has secured a deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She will make her debut with the UFC against Holly Holm on April 13, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada during UFC 300.
“Holly Holm is one of the baddest women to ever compete in combat sports…ever,” UFC President Dana White said.
“She’s fought all the nastiest women in the world in boxing and in MMA, except for one. She’ll be taking on the only woman in U.S. history to win back-to-back Olympic gold medals in judo. The UFC has officially signed Kayla Harrison.”
At 33 years old, Harrison has captured one World Championship, two Olympic gold medals and two Professional Fighters League (PFL) Championships. Now, she’ll begin her UFC journey in a new weight class against former UFC titleholder Holly Holm.
“We’re extremely grateful for Kayla’s amazing career in the PFL,” Harrison’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, said.
“She became the fighter she is now with their support. We are nothing but grateful to them and are excited to start a new chapter in the UFC.”
