Y’all ready to head back to the grimy world of the London drug trade? Well, you better be because Netflix dropped a new trailer for its revival of Top Boy, the cult crime UK series. This is the best look fans have gotten at the new season since Drake dropped a teaser earlier this year.
Set in the fictional Summerhouse housing in East London, the first two seasons of Top Boy aired in 2011 and 2013. Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson starred in the series as Dushane and Sully, respectively. Over the course of the first two seasons, the young men’s loyalty is tested as they navigate the dangerous, and lucrative, world of the London underground. The series was dropped by Britain’s Channel 4 in 2014 and remained dormant until Netflix picked it up in 2017.
Both Walters and Robinson are set to reprise their roles in the new season. They are joined by new castmembers Simbi Ajikawo, Micheal Ward and David Omoregie. The revival will tell a brand new story in and around Summerhouse as our heroes continue to fight for their place in the world. The latest trailer teases new struggles with some old faces and some old struggles with new faces.
