The Tomb Raider franchise received its first reboot back in 2013. Now with the huge success of the game, movie studios will like to bring the franchise back to the silver screen. THR has reported that MGM and Warner Bros. long search for a director has finally come to an end as they have hired, Roar Uthaug, who recently directed, The Wave.
Along with finding a director, the companies have found who they want to write the script, Geneva Robertson-Dworet. Geneva is currently a co-writer for Transformers 5 and has yet to fully sign on as the main writer for the movie.
There’s still no clue on the casting nor any one specific currently being scouted for the main role of Lara Croft. Movie producer, GK Films, have yet to release the direction that they would like to go in for the movie, but stick around for more information to come on the reboot.
