Earlier this summer, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst nearly broke the internet when he asked, “What is going on in Utah?” Eventually, the world learned that the Utah Jazz was planning to move to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for promising point guard Collin Sexton. With that in the rearview mirror, the world needs to start asking about what is going on in Nashville. Over the last few weeks, a few important things have happened. Rising singer-songwriter Bryant Taylorr has been spotted working with Issa Rae’s Raedio as Rap Sh*t hit HBO Max. Meanwhile, Yours Truly, Jai has been releasing new videos and seemingly teasing a new project. Not to be forgotten, Brian Brown recently premiered “Trillville” on 101.1 The Beat and Daisha McBride just gave a TED Talk. Now, Reaux Marquez is ready to take the baton with “Crowd Control.”
Just last year, Reaux Marquez dropped one of the best projects of the year, No Roads, and helped kick off Slim + Husky’s “Unplugged” series. This fall, he’s back with a new track called “Crowd Control.” Produced by SEJOHFROGI. and Malone, “Crowd Control” is a gripping, high-energy track that grabs your attention from the moment the beat drops and doesn’t let go. The track’s only flaw is that it’s less than two minutes.
“N*ggas say they ain’t trippin’ on nothin’, but I’m trippin’ on everything. I love my life and to protect my fam, I’m squeezing on everything,” he raps.
From the success of Glorilla’s “F.N.F” in Memphis to Kaby’s “Showstopper” out in Nashville, something special is in the water down in Tennessee. Check out Reaux Marquez’s “Crowd Control” video below and be on the look out for more music from him.
