Alright, let’s calm down for a second. There is no way the Philadelphia 76ers will use their first pick, something they’ve wanted for years, on somebody other than Ben Simmons or Brandon Ingram.
They cannot be that reckless that they’ll go for a Jamal Murray that is clearly not worth a no.1 Pick. They can’t be that bad an organisation that they’ll jump over not 1, but TWO sure fire top 2 prospects for a shot in the dark.
Now I may be overreacting but even if there’s a minor possibility of Philadelphia screwing this up, people will roll their eyes once again at this historic but recently trash franchise.
But maybe they’re just being careful. What if Simmons and Ingram (knock on wood) get injured? What then? Enter Jamal Murray.
“Jamal Murray, we certainly got a chance to see him a couple of weeks ago. He’s certainly going to be one of those kids who’s going to be in contention for the No. 1 pick.
“We like him a lot. He’s going to bring a lot to wherever he goes in the NBA, certainly a talent.”
In contention. So its clear that they’ve formed a shortlist of sorts, which is fine.
Don’t get me wrong I like Jamal Murray but let’s be real, he isn’t top 2. Or maybe there’s something that the Sixers know and we don’t.
