Brown Bears graduate transfer Paxson Wojcik has announced that he is transferring to the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Tar Heels have had six players enter the transfer portal this offseason and have had to hit the portal hard themselves. Wojcik had to enter the transfer portal this off-season or not play basketball again. The Ivy League does not permit players that are graduates to play sports with their programs. Several schools reached out to the Brown transfer, but he committed to North Carolina after visiting the campus and program.

As a senior for the Brown Bears, Paxson Wojcik averaged 14.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 46.1 percent and a three-point percentage of 38 percent. With five scholarship spots still open for North Carolina, they are likely to be very active in the transfer portal in the coming weeks. They have reached out to some players already at this time. It is unclear who will start next year alongside Armando Bacot and RJ Davis next season. There will be several options for the team with a new look team. Hubert Davis and the program will be looking to compete for a National Championship.
