Drake is planning to end the summer in style. In just over two weeks, the chart-topping star will bring Nicki Minaj, Lil’ Wayne, Chris Brown, Lil’ Baby and several other stars to his hometown for his October World Weekend concert event. The three-day celebration will kick off with an event called “All Canadian North Stars” at his newly opened concert venue, History, on July 28, 2022. One day later, Chris Brown and Lil’ Baby will continue the festivities with a show at Budweiser Stage on July 29, 2022. Forty-eight hours later, the festival will conclude with a Young Money reunion featuring Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Wayne on August 1, 2022.
“Big!” Taylor Rooks commented.
“Sold out easily,” Anthony Hamilton Jr. added.
Drake may not only be bringing his Young Money reunion to Toronto, Ontario. While announcing the October World Weekend lineup, he hinted that a Young Money reunion tour may be in the works.
“I am currently working on bringing OVO FEST around the world in 2023 for the 10th Anniversary but of course, we wanted to turn the city up for the summer,” he wrote.
The unveiling of the October World Weekend lineup caps an amazing week for the global star. Earlier this week, he helped debut the trailer for David O. Russell’s latest film, Amsterdam. Drake and Future The Prince are listed as executive producers for the forthcoming picture starring Chris Rock, Robert De Niro and Taylor Swift. Shortly thereafter, Euphoria racked up its own share of Emmy nominations. Much like Amsterdam, Drake is listed as a producer for the hit series. Not to be forgotten, Drake has also hinted that he has new music on the way.
