The Clippers seem to be the clear winners in the trade getting a wing defender with playoff experience that can contribute offensively in Covington and a shot-creator in Powell. The team acquired two players that can help keep the boat afloat while Paul George and Kawhi Leonard recover from their injuries.
The Blazers, on the other hand, got a playmaker that can help CJ McCollum while Damian Lillard is out, and coming into the postseason will be valuable for the minutes Lillard has to rest. With Bledsoe on the court, McCollum can focus on scoring instead of distributing the ball and keeping his teammates involved.
The Clippers and Blazers are eight and tenth respectively and want to move up on the standings to have one of the secure spots in the playoffs.
