The Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals are set to face off in Super Bowl LVI on February 13th. Rams safety Eric Weddle has informed everyone that the game will be his very last in the NFL. The talented defensive back came out of retirement specifically to help the Rams win a Super Bowl and he will have a chance to do just that on February 13th. The decorated safety is ready to step away from playing football for the final time.

The Rams are just one game away from capturing a Super Bowl and allowing Eric Weddle to ride off into the sunset a champion. In three games this postseason the veteran safety has posted 13 tackles with six of those being solo tackles. His real addition to the team has been his leadership and presence on the defense. While the team is experienced a clear-cut leader in the secondary is always helpful.

The Bengals have proven to be no easy out in this year’s playoffs, so Weddle and the Los Angeles Rams will have their hands full. Super Bowl LVI will be a must-watch game and like Weddle said: “No more comebacks”. We here at Def Pen Sports wish him the best in Super Bowl LVI and after with his retirement from the NFL and beyond football.
