Nicki Minaj may find herself atop the charts yet again this week. Days after releasing her latest single, Chart Data reported that “Super Freaky” is “challenging” Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul” and “As It Was” by Harry Styles for the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. If she were to pull off such a feat, Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl” would be the “first solo female rap song to debut at [number one] this century.”
It appears that Nicki Minaj may be well on her way to achieving history after delivering the “Super Freaky Girl” remix. Keeping with the “U Can’t Touch This” sample that drove the initial release, the New York native returns to the rhythmic flow that emphasizes her confident style.
“Don’t play with Nicki ’cause it could get tricky/And that’s word to Dricki, b*tch, it could get sticky/And that’s word to Dwayne Mi–, Michael Carter/I’ma finish these dumb b*tches, Michael Myers,” she raps.
“Don’t nobody wanna hear that weak shit ho/In the game, fifteen, ain’t peak yet h*e/Tell that goofy get a chair, she was cocky, I could swear/’Til my old tape sold more than your album, drop a tear.”
With another album from the Young Money star seemingly in the works, “Super Freaky Girl” sets a high standard for what is to come. Check out Nicki Minaj’s latest single before she takes the stage next month at Rolling Loud in New York.
