Bad Bunny has done it yet again! For the sixth time, Bad Bunny’s latest album, Un Verano Sin Ti, has topped the Billboard 200 chart. By doing so, Un Verano Sin Ti enters an exclusive club. Since 2021, only Adele’s 30 and Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album have topped the charts for six weeks. Furthermore, Bad Bunny’s newest project has moved 100,000 units or more in its first 11 weeks. Adele’s 25 is the only album to achieve a similar feat since 2016.
Bad Bunny wasn’t the only artist to make noise on the charts. For the first time in her career, Lizzo had landed in the top two of the Billboard 200 chart. Her latest studio effort, Special, fell just behind Bad Bunny’s most recent LP in her project’s first week. Similarly, Steve Lacy also broke commercial ground in his emerging career. For the first time in his career, Lacy’s album has landed in the top ten of the Billboard 200 chart.
Heading into next week, Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti will likely be taken off the Billboard throne. This Friday, Beyonce is set to return with her latest project, Renaissance. Beyonce’s previous six solo albums have all topped the U.S. charts during their first week. Destiny Child’s third studio album, Survivor, also topped the charts during its first week.
