On Tuesday, October 29, former First Lady and best-selling author Michelle Obama will host the When We All Vote Rally in Atlanta, Georgia. The rally intends to mobilize first-time voters in the swing state, including Atlanta area high school and college students.
“The election doesn’t start on Election Day — it ends on Election Day,” When We All Vote Executive Director Beth Lynk said.
“Thanks to our Georgia partners and volunteers who continue to make sure their communities are ready to vote, Georgia voters are fired up and ready to use their voices. Mrs. Obama, our Co-Chairs and Ambassadors, and voters will all come together at this rally to celebrate Georgia. Together, we will take our momentum and energy to the ballot box and set the tone for the entire country — especially first-time voters — to vote early.”
The When We All Vote Rally will also feature a musical performance from Dreamville’s Ari Lennox and a collection of high-profile guests, including Kerry Washington, Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Victoria Monét, DJ D-Nice, Nneka Ogwumike, Marsai Martin Earthgang and many others.
When We All Vote, a leading voter participation organization, has been active in the Atlanta area recently. Earlier this month, the organization teamed up with Live Nation to encourage voter participation in the upcoming election while also giving away tickets to One MusicFest. Moving forward, When We All Vote will team up with Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios to host on-campus events at Grand Rapids Community College on October 29 and Milwaukee Area Technical College with the Milwaukee Bucks on October 31.
