Heading into the weekend, COVID-19 has claimed over 200 lives across the country. In the state of Georgia, fourteen residents have lost their lives. As this pandemic continues to grow, the CDC continues to urge people to take precautions. Most notably, health officials have asked citizens to practice social distancing, avoid large gatherings and sanitize public spaces whenever possible. Among other efforts, the most common and useful precautionary measure everyone can take is washing their hands. In an effort to make this precautionary measure more accessible, Lecrae made sure to do his part.
Lecrae has teamed up with Georgia based non-profit, Love Beyond Walls, to install hand washing stations for displaced residents across the Atlanta area. In doing so, the group set out to install fifteen stations across the city.

“I wanted to continue doing the same stuff that I have been doing just in any city I’ve lived in and that’s just being close to the disenfranchised and the marginalized communities,” Lecrae said.
“You know, whether people like it or not, man we’re out here doing our part to ensure that people have access to this basic necessity during this pandemic,” Terence Lester of Love Beyond Walls added.
