Craig Williams, Jordan Brand president, expressed the commitment of the brand to keep supporting and helping the black community.
“We must join forces with the community, government and civic leaders to create a lasting impact together. There is still more work for us to do to drive real impact for the Black Community. We embrace the responsibility.”
Recently, Jordan released another statement expressing “the black community has had enough” and supporting those protesting “the ingrained racism and violence towards people of color in our country”.
The protests started in Minneapolis after death of George Floyd. Since then they have spread around the country and several NBA players have joined the protests in their communities.
