Matilda’s Mara Wilson and Kiami Davael reunited for a lunch date.
Wilson played Matilda, while Davael starred as her best friend, Lavender Brown in the 1996 film adaptation of the movie.
Davael shared a pic of the two on her Twitter page along with the caption:

“Lunch date with my sis from another miss!”
Wilson, who is now 27, quit acting in 2000, with the reason being:
“Film acting is not very fun. Doing the same thing over and over again until, in the director’s eyes, you ‘get it right,’ does not allow for very much creative freedom.
The best times I had on film sets were the times the director let me express myself, but those were rare.”
Wilson currently runs her own blog called Mara Writes Stuff, and has revealed she signed a book deal with Penguin Books.
Her books will reportedly be a collection of personal essays titled [K] for Kid which will include her views on ‘being young, female, and a little out of place – as the only child on a film set full of adults, the first daughter in a house full of boys, a New Yorker in California and Californian in New York, and more!”
As far as Davael, she hasn’t acted since 2000, but joined the film’s cast for a reunion in 2013.
