Mary J Blige was probably happy about her successful single “Take Me As I Am” taken from her hit album “The Breakthough”.
However, this certain song might become a big problem now. The songwriters Jay Ballard and Kim Jones are sueing Mary J Blige and Keri Hilson’s writing team “The Clutch” for stealing their same titled track written in 1995.
The suit was filed July 8 in California and “is seeking compensation for all albums and singles sold as well as any publishing income earned from the track from its placement in advertisements.”
Everytime such a thing happens it makes me wonder why it took them five years to realize that MJB/The Clutch stole their song…Maybe they’re in need of some extra money right now? Well, we probably won’t get to know but if you’re interested in learning about the accusers check out this video where the duo discusses the similarites between the two songs:

All things being equal I think, when you get your day in court the judge or the jury will decide this case, but what I really what to know is how and who got this story to be reported in the news, I’ve been filing cases for over twenty years and news media has been “Nut Rolling” for over tweny years, like they can’t understand the words that are coming out my mouth!-Born to do battle, drafted at birth!-Michael E.
