Mark Andrews will join his teammates on the field at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, January 28, 2024 for the 2024 AFC Championship.
“I’m excited,” Andrews said. “I love to play football. I love the Ravens. I love the city. I’m going to give them everything I’ve got,” he said.
Andrews last played for the Ravens on November 16, 2024, against the Cincinnati Bengals. During the team’s first offensive possession, the six-year veteran suffered what appeared to be a season-ending ankle injury. Further examination revealed that he had cracked his fibula and sustained ligament damage. As a result, he began to rehab his ankle six hours each day and spending his nights in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to speed up his recovery.
Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh praised Andrews’ “toughness” as he worked his way back into playing shape just 73 days after sustaining the initial injury.
“I mean the physical pain he went through…I saw him in the training room,” Harbaugh said.
“[It’s a] very painful injury. Very painful rehab.”
Andrews will bring nearly 90 games and 400 catches of experiences to the field as the Ravens attempt to reach the Super Bowl for the first time in more than a decade. The only team standing in their way is defending champion Kansas City Chiefs. Kickoff is set for just after 3 p.m. in Baltimore on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
