The Kansas City Chiefs will take the field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, December 10 without the rushing and receiving services of Isiah Pacheco. The Rutgers University product will miss the team’s Week 14 showdown with the Buffalo Bills after suffering a shoulder injury.
Pacheco is Kansas City’s leading rusher after picking for 779 yards and six touchdowns on the ground through a dozen games. In his last outing, the New Jersey native picked up 123 total yards and a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers. Still, the Green Bay Packers were able to walk away with the win, handing the Chiefs their second lost in three games.
In Pacheco’s absence, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon will lead Kansas City’s backfield against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, December 10.
“[Edwards-Helaire] is going to be ready, no doubt,” McKinnon told ESPN.
“Everybody in that room is ready. When called upon, he knows what this moment means for him. So I’m 100%, 200% confident, and he’s going to go out there and do his thing. He’s prepped for it. He’s looked good and the opportunities he’s had this year … he stayed focused and stays resilient and showing off. I expect to see nothing less on Sunday.”
The Pacheco-less Chiefs will take the field at Arrowhead Stadium to play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, December 10 at 4:25 p.m. EST on CBS.
