In under three years, Mailka Andrews has transitioned from being a reporter to leading ESPN’s flagship in-studio NBA show. Now, she will further cement her place as the network’s leading NBA host by leading the network’s 2022 NBA Draft coverage. ESPN shared the exciting news via Twitter as fans and teams alike prepared for the 2022 NBA Draft Lottery earlier this week.
“I am so excited to be the host of the 2022 NBA draft,” Andrews said.
“It’s really kind of beyond words. We just finished the draft lottery, and I feel like that great training, maybe, hopefully for the draft. But, at the end of the day, I know I have a great team behind me.”
On the day of the 2022 NBA Draft, Andrews will not steer the ship alone. Throughout the evening, she will be joined by a number of NBA analysts and reporters, including Jay Bilas, Kendrick Perkins, Adam Wojnarowski and Bobby Marks. It will all go down at the Barclays Center on June 23, 2022 at 8 p.m. ET.
