NBA Free Agency is just 9 days away, and this summer’s free agency class boasts some desired superstars, including Hawks Forward Al Horford. The All-Star Center has enjoyed the best years of his career in an Atlanta uniform as of late and with the salary cap going up, a player like Horford can command a big pay raise.
The Celtics and Rockets have already expressed their interests in Horford, and now you can add the Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Lakers to that list. According to Marc Stein of ESPN, all 3 teams will make a bid for Horford’s talents:
Free Agency Rumble: Orlando, Detroit and the Lakers are all among the teams that intend to make a run at Atlanta big man Al Horford.

Horford is one of the top free agents this summer and his price tag will be high. Horford is expected to be offered a max deal by at least one team, and that means coughing up about $26 million with the new salary cap coming into place next year. The Lakers and Magic are both looking for a starting Center, both expressing interest in Hassan Whiteside and Dwight Howard, respectively. Horford could be a major factor on any of those teams if he decides to sign elsewhere, but he’s proclaimed his love for Atlanta, which might stress that Horford isn’t really going anywhere. Horford, among other sought out free agents like Kevin Durant, will be getting bombarded by calls at 12:01 on July 1st.
