Head Coach Dana Altman and the Oregon Ducks have landed the commitment of 2022 Top 35 recruit and top ten big man Kel’el Ware. He is a four-star on the border of being a five-star and some ranking sites have already classified him as a five-star recruit. His composite ranking is 34th overall in the 2022 recruiting class. He committed to the Oregon Ducks over the Arkansas Razorbacks, Texas Longhorns, and some other programs that were involved in his recruiting process.

Ware joins the beginnings of a monster Oregon 2022 recruiting class. He joins 2022 Top Ten recruit and number one point guard Dior Johnson on the list of Oregon Ducks’ recruits for the recruiting class. The point guard and center duo of Ware and Johnson should be a fun match under Dana Altman’s collegiate system. It is too early to tell if Ware has the making of a “one and done” prospect. His level of play in his final season of high school and his first season at Oregon will determine more about his NBA readiness.

Ware could be an immediate starter for Oregon depending on the shakeup of the roster, but if not he will be in the rotation from day one in Altman’s system. Landing a top ten center prospect should help bring stability for Altman’s program and help them seriously compete in the PAC-12. Ware will continue to improve in high school, but his height and size are already there. He is listed at seven feet and 210 pounds. This is a key addition for the Ducks coming into the 2022 season.
