American Idol is making some pretty big changes this off-season. The talent show has seen some big name judges but it seems just as easy as they come, they go.
The show started off with three judges: Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell. Both Abdul and Cowell have since parted ways with the show, making Jackson the only remaining original judge.
Since then, the Idol panel has been graced by the likes of Kara DioGuardi, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and more.
Currently, the only two judges signed on for the show’s twelfth season are Randy Jackson and Mariah Carey. Although, Nicki Minaj is in serious talks about signing on as a judge next year as well.
While there are many celebrities being considered for the third (and possibly fourth) judge slot, the most interesting, and perhaps exciting, is Kanye West.
TMZ reports that Idol execs have contacted Yeezy about the possibility of becoming a judge next season. Apparently, the grammy-winning recording artist/producer seemed interested in the oppurtunity.
If he joined the show, Mr. West would have an extra $18 million in his pocket to buy his “perfect bitch“, Kim Kardashian, some more nice things. Cue the “Yeezy taught me” Idol contestant jokes.
