A lot has changed for Joony over the last year. Not only did he appear on the chart-topping album, Wasteland, but he also dropped the deluxe edition of his latest LP, Pretty In Black. All of the sacrifices that he and his Lost Kids team have made over the years have manifested in the success that he, Brent Faiyaz, Ty Baisden and many others have achieved over the last few years. With that in mind, it only makes sense that the Maryland native takes a bit of time to clap back to all of the naysayers. Wrapping up the month of November, Joony has released a new track called “Pretty In Black” that takes on all of the critics and naysayers in a way that only he can.
“Mama said, ‘You’re doin’ too much. You don’t ever be home.’ I was f*cked up last summer. Then, I ran up 250. I’m on,” he raps.
“I don’t even know y’all n*ggas. Why y’all callin’ my phone?”
Joony’s new track sets the stage for his debut solo tour. Beginning in Brooklyn at Baby’s All Right on December 4, Joony will make stops in Atlanta on December 8 and Los Angeles on December 15. From there, he’ll finish things up in the nation’s capital at Songbyrd on December 18. Until the tour kicks off, check out “Pretty In Black” below.
