JAY Z, the once drug dealer turned rapper and now entertainment mogul continues to win. With his successful management company Roc Nation signing athletes left and right, Tidal doing what it’s doing trying to compete with the monster that is Apple, one has to wonder what is there left he hasn’t done yet or plans to do.
Well remember when the new adaptation of ‘Annie’ released featuring Jamie Foxx? Jay had a hand in that. ‘The Great Gatsby’ and Chris Rock’s ‘Top Five’? Yup, he had some dabbling done in those as well. How about the upcoming Emmett Till story? Hov has a hand in that as too. So it is apparent that TV and Film looks to be his next venture.
To further solidify this claim the folks at THR have provided information on the newest deal JAY Z has inked and that is with The Weinstein Company (TWC). The exclusive deal Mr. Shawn Carter signed is a 2-year deal which gives the company and Jay first-look options at upcoming scripted and unscripted projects. Look for projects already under this deal to be announced in the upcoming weeks.
