Jason Vorhees, Friday The 13th, two things synonymous with each-other. The horror film Icon will be making his way to Ps4, PC and Xbox One soon, with a little help from fans. Gun Media, who were once developing a horror game based on a Summer slasher, officially abandons the Summer Camp title and will be bringing the fans to Crystal Lake. The announcement trailer is narrated by none other than the mother of Jason, Pamela Vorhees.
Ronnie Hobbs touched on why Gun Media abandoned the Summer Camp and why they officially changed it to Friday The 13th.
Basically, we were a Friday the 13th video game; we just didn’t have the license, five months after the announcement of Summer Camp, Friday the 13th creator and director Sean S. Cunningham reached out to the team with his blessing — and, after a few meetings, the license to the Jason Voorhees franchise.
