Gulman has been celebrated in comedy circles for years but, due to his fight with depression, hasn’t been in the spotlight for some time. The comedian last recorded a special back in 2012 for Comedy Central. He’s remained active since then, especially recently as his Twitter has become somewhat of a guide for young stand-ups. Gulman has a running thread of writing tips for young comedians. As I’m writing this post, his list is now up to tip #224.
HBO’s had a pretty big year. There was this little show called Game of Thrones that ended to kick off the summer. They followed that up with Euphoria, the summer’s most-talked-about new series. The premium channel also recently renewed Robin Thede’s A Black Lady Sketch Show for a second season. Then, there’s that extremely intriguing Watchmen adaptation landing in October.
Gary Gulman: The Great Depresh hits HBO on October 5th.
