ESPN is making major moves as it prepares to broadcast the 2022 NBA Eastern Conference Finals featuring the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics. The self-proclaimed worldwide leader in sports has announced that it has re-signed Ros Gold-Onwude. Under this extension, Gold-Onwude will work as a sideline reporter and analyst throughout the NBA and WNBA seasons. Fans can continue to catch Onwude on ESPN Radio, NBA Today and Hoop Streams.
“[I am] delighted! It’s a blessing to build a career around the game I’ve loved since I was 4 [years old]. Covering both men’s [and] women’s hoops is my dream! I don’t take a day for granted. I’m thankful for the opportunity at ESPN to express myself across multiple skillsets & roles,” she tweeted.
Gold-Onwude’s next major assignment will come in June. She will work as the pregame and halftime co-host for ESPN’s broadcast of the 2022 NBA Finals.
