Green’s teammate Stephen Curry will join Green in sitting out the minicamp, as the two-time MVP wants to spend time with his family and newborn son.
Also sitting out the camp will be LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard.
Thirty-five players were selected for the initial national team pool. Only 12 of those players will be chosen to compete at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China and the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
The camp runs from Wednesday, July 25 through Friday, July 27.
