Doja Cat is no stranger to controversy. From being accused of spending time in racist chat rooms to criticizing social media fan culture, the award-winning musician has not gone long without seeing her name in a headline. If her latest single, “Paint The Town Red,” is any indication of how she feels about her celebrity status and the expectations that come with it, she gives no f*cks.
“Yeah, b*tch. I said what I said. I’d rather be famous instead. I let all that get to my head. I don’t care, I paint the town red,” she raps.
“She’s a bad lil’ b*tch, [she’s] a rebel. She put her foot [on] the pedal. It’ll take a whole lot for me to settle.”
“Paint The Town Red” is the second single from what is expected to be the follow-up to her 2021 LP, Planet Her. While fans wait to learn more about her album, the dates for her upcoming tour are already set in stone. The Scarlet Tour will take her from the Chase Center in San Francisco on October 31 to the United Center in Chicago on December 13. Along the way, she’ll make stops in all of the big cities like Los Angeles, New York, Miami and beyond.
