Danielle “DaniLeigh” Curiel has reportedly been arrested and charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury and DUI damage to property.
The recent arrest and charges levied against the sought-after choreographer stem from an incident that allegedly occurred in Miami Beach, Florida during Memorial Day Weekend. According to a report from TMZ, DaniLeigh was allegedly swerving in and out of lanes at a high rate of speed. She is accused of hitting a moped and dragging the driver “for about a block.” A bystander reportedly flagged down a police officer who was able to stop the vehicle.
After being stopped by the police, DaniLeigh took multiple field sobriety tests. According to initial reports, her blood alcohol level was “nearly twice the legal limit.” Shortly thereafter, she was taken into custody while the moped driver was taken to a nearby hospital. The unidentified motorist reportedly suffered a kidney laceration and a spinal fracture during the accident.
At this time, DaniLeigh nor her representatives have issued a statement regarding the matter.
