DJ Khaled has remained relatively quiet since the conclusion of last summer’s On The Run II tour. However, DJ Khaled getting quiet is usually a sign that he’s working hard on some new music. Today, DJ Khaled took time to give the first glimpse of what he has in store for his fans this year.
While on Instagram yesterday, the Miami native took time to let us know that Cardi B is preparing some new music for his upcoming album, Father of Asahd. He told his fans, “They said I couldn’t get Cardi B on my album”. From there, Cardi takes over and responds, “Who the f*ck said that?” Khaled then closes out by saying, “They said ’cause you won a Grammy, I can’t get you on my album.”
DJ Khaled’s Father of Asahd was originally scheduled to be released last summer, but Khaled decided to pull back. In the meantime, he’s been working hard and it seems that it is paying off. DJ Khaled opened up for Jay-Z and Beyonce and he’s also cast in the upcoming Bad Boys for Life movie. If they didn’t want DJ Khaled to win, then they’re probably upset right now because he’s winning in every way. Be on the look out for Father of Asahd later this year.
