Week three is a critical time for both sportsbooks and fans alike. We now have a two-week sample size and can start to determine whether what we saw in week one is indicative of a larger trend or simply a one-off. No team represents that week-to-week variance like the New Orleans Saints. Can anyone say with confidence what they expect to see from the Saints in Week three? The Raiders, on the other hand, proved that their performance in Week one was not a fluke. As you decide on your Week three picks, build your card around things that you believe are sustainable. These are the NFL Sunday Picks for week three.
Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders (-3.5)
After placing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on Injured Reserve with fractured ribs, the Dolphins are hoping Jacoby Brissett can lead them to victory on the road. Brissett struggled to move the ball after entering last week’s game and faces a Raider team that believes in itself after early-season victories over the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers. This game has all the makings of a trap game but this is a wager against the Miami offensive line which has looked terrible through two games.
PICK – Raiders(-3.5)

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (-3)
Philadelphia’s offense appears ready to have a breakout game. Mental mistakes and costly penalties cost them last week against the 49ers. Today, they face a Dallas Cowboys defense bereft of playmakers outside of Michah Parsons. If Jalen Hurts, Devonta Smith, and company are going to erupt, it has to be against Dallas in a critical division matchup. Consider placing a unit on the over/under as well. If both offenses show up, they could easily surpass the 52 point total.
PICK- Eagles (+3.5)
Week three is typically the week where Vegas recalibrates its assessment of teams. The rest of the board presents little to no value. We recommend a four-team, six-point teaser that pays out +300 odds for week three of the NFL Sunday Picks.
Tease the Cardinals from -7.5 to -1.5
This prevents a back door cover from being allowed by a terrible Arizona defense.
Tease the Bills from -7 to -1
The Bills simply need to win against the Washington Football Team.
Tease the Rams from +1.5 to +7.5
The Rams have a puncher’s chance to win outright. This gives you more breathing room.
Tease the Bears from +7 to +13
Unless Odell Beckham Jr. has a huge game in his first game back from a torn ACL, Cleveland’s commitment to running the ball should keep this game within two touchdowns.
