The Clippers sign DeMarcus Cousins through the rest of the season. After signing the veteran big man to a 10-day contract, the Clips will keep Cousins around for their playoff run. Head coach Tyronn Lue has raved about the play of their latest addition, and this was a formality more than anything.
Cousins was released from the Houston Rockets earlier this season while they figured out ways to get rid of everyone they could. His play in Houston showed a lot of promise, and it was disappointing to see his NBA stint with John Wall end so soon.
Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports broke the news.

In eight games played for the Clippers, Cousins has played good backup minutes. In those games, he has averaged 6.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per. Since Cousins first suited up for the Clips back on April 6th, they have lost just one game during that stretch. Cousins played just over five minutes against the 76ers. Twice now he has scored in double-digits and pulled down 10 rebounds on the 21st.
A former 2x All-NBA selection, Cousins has been hindered with injuries in the last few seasons. He claims to be in the best shape of his life currently, and at 30 years old, he’s got years in him if he can remain healthy. He is one of the most entertaining, and for a few years in Sacramento, he was a top-5 big man in the league. If he can return to just half of his former self, the Clippers will have a steal on their roster in the playoffs. His minutes should grow if he continues to impress the way he has up to this point.
