In the world of television or even movies (to a certain extent), reviving a program that drew in millions of viewers for a stretch of 6 seasons is always worth a shot. In the case of Celebrity Deathmatch, this specific show has an opportunity to be bigger than it was back when it had a run from 1998-2002 then 2005-2007.
During the 2005-2007 stretch it was only on TV with a Friday block for weekly broadcasting.
The show showcased animated celebrities made out of clay who went toe to toe in the ring for a no-holds-barred match to the death. There has been classic matches back when the show aired, for example check out the Jim Carrey vs Mariah Carey match.
Considering the time gap from 2007 to 2015 you can just imagine the different types of matches the show can tackle. When you factor in social media and the impact it has on the world, this run of Celebrity Deathmatch will be great.

Not to mention MTV2 has signed off on two other new shows. One show which will be featuring Charlemagne Tha God, ‘Uncommon Sense With Charlamagne Tha God’. An eight episode, half-hour comedy talk show will have Charlamagne and a panel of comedians talking about the most trending topics on social media for the week and add their own little spin to it.
The second show is ‘Kingin’ With Tyga’. This show is being said to be a 6 episode series which will follow Tyga and his friends around as they do ridiculous stunts and live a lavish lifestyle.
There is no time table of when each of the three shows will air but it looks as if MTV2 has a plan to keep viewers locked in on their channel for hours.
