Cincinnati Bearcats Red-Shirt senior quarterback Ben Bryant has announced that he has entered the transfer portal for next season. With spring games going on, this is a period where players that are unsatisfied with their role enter the portal to play elsewhere. With a change at Head Coach this offseason at Cincinnati, it is possible that Bryant has decided he does not what to play for the program during the 2023-24 college football season. He is able to play next season due to the extra year of eligibility that was granted to players due to the impact the Coronavirus had on the 2020-21 college football season.

This past season as a red-shirt senior with the Cincinnati Bearcats, Ben Bryant completed 213 passes for 2,732 yards, 21 touchdowns, and seven interceptions on 348 attempts. He also recorded two rushing touchdowns last season as the quarterback of the Bearcats. Bryant began his career with Cincinnati, the two seasons ago transferred to Eastern Michigan before he returned to the Bearcats. Considering this will be third transfer he may have to sit out a season before he plays football again. Considering most top programs have their quarterback for next season, that may be a good thing for the veteran college football quarterback.
