Former Towson Tigers senior guard Nick Timberlake has announced that he has transferred to the Kansas Jayhawks for next season. He will use his fifth and final year of eligibility with the Blue Blood program. He is able to use this extra year of college eligibility thanks to the year that was granted to all players because of the impact the Coronavirus had on the 2020-21 college basketball season. When he announced he was entering the portal, he was quickly contacted by many high-major programs and picked one of the best in college basketball.

This past season as a senior for the Towson Tigers, Nick Timberlake averaged 17.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and one steal per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 45.5 percent and a three-point percentage of 41.6 percent. Kansas lost some talent this offseason to the 2023 NBA Draft and is looking to reload with players like Timberlake. His goal will likely be to improve his stock in pro leagues after the 2023-24 college basketball season. While he is not likely to be an NBA prospect there are plenty of other pro leagues he could gain the attention of next season with Kansas. The Blue Blood program is always looking to win an NCAA Championship during the season.
