UPDATE (February 8, 2019, 2:32 p.m., ET):
Anthony Davis gave the New Orleans Pelicans a list of preferred trade destinations: The Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers. From Yahoo’s Shams Charania:
Anthony Davis’ representatives have informed the Pelicans that he would sign long-term with the Lakers, Knicks, Bucks and Clippers if he is traded, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA.

Charania adds that the Knicks are an unlikely destination:
Sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @WatchStadium it's four-team list for Davis — with inclusion of the Clippers and Bucks along with previous teams (Lakers, Knicks). The Knicks are unlikely, however, after moving Kristaps Porzingis to Dallas. https://t.co/Vh3l4XJ51t

Original story follows:
Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis requested a trade from New Orleans last week. Now, Davis has given the Pelicans a list of teams with which he would re-sign upon a trade, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Not included on that list? The Boston Celtics.
Beyond the Lakers and Knicks, the Pelicans have been made aware of "a handful" of teams that Anthony Davis would be willing to sign long-term with upon a trade, league sources tell ESPN. Boston isn't included on that list.

This could help open up marketplace on a trade for Davis between now and Thursday 3 p.m. deadline, creating stronger offers to Pels. No matter destination, Davis has no plans to sign extension this summer. The plan is signing a new deal in July of 2020, once he opts out. https://t.co/RWqXzaV4va

Davis’ father went on the record recently to say he does not want his son to play for the Celtics after their treatment of Isaiah Thomas. Boston traded Thomas as part of a package for Kyrie Irving just months after he played a playoff game for the team the day after his sister was killed in a car accident.
Davis not including Boston on his list won’t necessarily stop the C’s. After all, they weren’t on Kyrie Irving’s list in the summer of 2017, but they pulled the trigger on acquiring him and won that trade handily. Kevin Garnett was openly against being traded to Boston. That, again, didn’t stop the Celtics from making a move, and now Garnett loves Boston with a passion. Things can look differently from the inside of an organization.
Kevin Garnett didn't want to be traded to #Celtics. Now he wishes he spent entire career in Boston. Paul George didn't want to be traded to #Thunder. Re-signed. Russell Westbrook was bound for LA til he wasn't. Kawhi Leonard, blah on #Raptors. Might stay in Toronto. Moods change.
